City Boards and Commissions Title
 Building Code Board of Appeals
 
Any person shall have the right to appeal a decision of the building official to the Building Code Appeals Board.

Such appeal shall be based upon a claim that one or more of the following conditions exist:
  1. The Building Official rejected or refused to approve the mode or manner of construction proposed to be followed or materials to be used in the installation or alternation.
  2. The provisions of the code do not apply to this specific case.
  3. Than an equally good or better form of installation can be employed to achieve the same of higher level of life safety and property protection.
  4. The true intent and meaning of this code or any of the regulations there under have been misconstrued or incorrectly interpreted.
The Board of Appeals shall have no authority to waive the requirements of the code.

Appeals before the Conway Building Code Appeals Board are limited to Building, Mechanical and Electrical code issues. Plumbing and Fuel Gas Code issues are required to be heard before the State of Arkansas Committee of Plumbing Examiners.
