City Attorney

The City Attorney's office is comprised of the City Attorney, Deputy City Attorney, and administrative assistant. The City Attorney's office is an elected position with a four-year term. The City Attorney represents the City in civil litigation and prosecutes misdemeanors and ordinance violations committed within the city limits in District Court. The City Attorney advises the mayor, city council, department heads and city commissions, and assists in the preparation of ordinances, resolutions and other legal documents.
