TELECOMMUNICATOR

The City of Conway is accepting resumes for the position of Telecommunicator working in the Conway Emergency Operations Center. Requirements are:

• High School diploma or GED.
• One year multi-line telephone experience.
• One year customer service experience or experience working with the public.
• One year data entry or on the job computer experience
• Must be able to accurately type a minimum of 45 WPM
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Able to perform several mission critical tasks simultaneously and accurately.
• Able to effectively and quickly make critical decisions and exercise good judgment.
• Able to understand and independently apply complex information to a variety of circumstances.
• Must have valid AR drivers license & clean driving record.
• No felony convictions
• Must be able to achieve certification through Arkansas Crime Information Center.
• Must be able to remain calm & think clearly in stressful situations.

PART-TIME GROUNDS MAINTENANCE/MONITOR

The City of Conway is accepting applications for a part-time Grounds Maintenance position working in the Parks and Recreation Department.  Requirements are:

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1-3 months prior relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid AR Driver’s License.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing to work in adverse physical environment (inclement weather.)

ANIMAL WELFARE OFFICER

The City of Conway is accepting resumes for the position of Animal Welfare Officer working for the Conway Police Department. Position responsibilities include but are not limited to the capture and impounding of unlicensed, stray and uncontrolled animals, supplying food, water, and personal care to detained animals, investigation of animal complaints and various office duties including assisting with adoption of animals.  Requirements are:

• High School diploma or GED.         
• Valid AR Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be willing to serve on a rotational call schedule (24/7) and be able to report to the site within 20 minutes.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
• Must be willing to work in an adverse physical environment (inclement weather).

MECHANIC

The City of Conway is accepting applications for a Mechanic position working in the Sanitation Department.  Requirements are:

• High school diploma or equivalent and/or 1-3 months prior relevant experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have and maintain a valid AR Driver’s License.
• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
• Must be willing to work in an adverse physical environment (inclement weather).
• Duties will include performing lube, tire changes, oil changes and tune ups.
• Must own and supply tools.
• An Automotive General Maintenance Technician is preferred.
