REMINDER – Discharge, firing or use of Fireworks

Please remember that discharge, firing or use of firecrackers, rockets, torpedoes, roman candles, or other fireworks or substances designed and intended for pyrotechnic display, and of pistols, canes, cannons, or other appliances, using blank cartridges or caps containing chlorate of potash mixture, is hereby prohibited within the city limits of the City of Conway. (Ordinance No. A-61, Section 1)

The sale of fireworks at retail is hereby prohibited within the city limits of the City of Conway. (Ordinance No. A-61, Section 2)

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of Sections 7.16.01 -.02 shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof be fined in any sum of not less than Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) nor more than Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). Each retail transaction may be considered a separate offense. (Ord. No. O-01-67, Sec. 1)

Entry Level Police Officer Exam

The City of Conway will be testing for entry level Police Officers on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 9:00 a.m.  The testing will take place at the Conway Expo Center located at 2505 East Oak (Hwy 64) Conway, AR 72032. Entry level tests are good for one year or until the hiring list is exhausted. Pre-registration is required. July 4 - Holiday Office closing and Sanitation route schedule:

All City of Conway Offices, Landfill, Recycling Center, & ReUse Center will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. We will reopen for normal business hours on Monday, July 6.

Friday, July 3, residential trash and yard waste routes will run as scheduled as will all commercial routes.

Residential glass recycling routes will not run on Friday, July 3 and all collections will resume the normal schedule the following week.
